Who doesn’t love an old Les Paul Deluxe that looks like it could tell a good story or two? This is a pre-owned 1981 Les Paul Deluxe with a sunburst finish that has been routed out for humbuckers by a previous owner over the years. The guitar has a solid mahogany body with a maple cap, rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays, and a tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece. The guitar currently has a Greco alnico V humbucker in the neck with an EVH Frankenstein humbucker in the bridge in there for a sound that is classic Eddie…who said you can’t get a Brown Sound out of a Les Paul? The guitar is in great players grade condition. The frets have a low profile to them, and the finish has wear around the body. The neck has a good amount of wear down to the wood, however the wear spots have a bit of a gloss to them. We can’t confirm that it had a respray of clear lacquer, but the neck does indeed feel like it. Rest assured, there has not been a headstock repair on this guitar, like other guitars you might see with a resprayed neck. The guitar includes a Gibson protector case with blue interior.
