We clearly see a lot of Les Pauls come through the Zoo, but this one stopped a few of us in our tracks as a beautiful, fantastic feeling and sounding instrument. This is a ’59 Historic Select made in collaboration with a Japanese Gibson dealer. The dealers traveled to Gibson and hand-picked the wood alongside Edwin Wilson, which was then sprayed Unburst and aged by the talented Tom Murphy. The guitar is a bit of a nod to the Melvyn Franks Peter Green Les Paul with the unique Unburst finish and polarity swapped neck humbucker for that signature PG tone in the middle position that to us sounds excellent.
The guitar is in excellent condition with all wear original to how Murphy intended it to look, and includes the Certificate of Authenticity detailing the background of the guitar along with some Japanese paperwork.
Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Pickguard, Extra Knobs
